There were many changes to this years regatta, but in true SBC style everything went according to plan and the racing ran very smoothly.
The biggest change was to the course on Sunday. The boat club had decided to race 450m upstream, instead of the usual 750m downstream. This meant new boating on/off systems needed to be thought up, and marshalling position had to be put in place. However, the whole of sunday ran excellently, with no problems and many competitors enjoying the new course.
The second big change made this weekend was the boating on/off system. Boats getting on, came through the boathouse and got off across the lawn. This circulation pattern designed by Fred Caswill made it easier and quicker to boat on and off leading to less hassle for the umpires, landing stage volunteers and crews alike.

Four of the stourport girlies won their rowing novices at stourport this year which means .... they get thrown in!!!
Saturday night at the bar. Everyone was enjoying the band, but maybe next year we'll stick to disco.
