After a long training camp, the J16 2- comprising of Matt Brighton and Brett Gwilliam were on top form at the inter-regionals this year.
The boys stormed through the semi-finals to reach the major final, where they won by 4 seconds beating crews from Shiplake and Abingdon amongst others.
Well done boys!

Evesham Sprint

Shrewsbury Regatta and Sprint
The first major regatta of the season and didn't we know it. Everyone partied as if there was no tomorrow and when Sunday finally did arrive we had an awesome day in the rain.
A few people raced on the Saturday, but most of us had the morning and drove up to pitch our tents and go to the party. It stayed dry all night, and everyone had a great time.
Sunday morning and everyone was up bright and early, willing and able to race! Despite the rain everyone had a big smile on their face trading stories about the night before. The racing didn't quite go to plan with more losses than wins, but its only the start of the season. Plenty of time for improvement across the squad.
Saturday
There were wins for:
S2 4-: Dan Brighton, Nic Danby, Nic Fethers, Matt Brighton
S3 2-: Dan Brighton, Matt Brighton.
This year it was only the boys who travelled upto nottingham, and they didn't disappoint.
The J14's show their potential, as they were just edged out in the semi-final after a tough battle all the way down the course.
The J16 pair who won at the inter-regionals, raced on the sunday in horrible conditions. Fifth place in the final, was a good acheivement for the pair, who hope to build on this result for the national champs in July.
Northwich Sprint
It was wet, windy and very muddy. Just the way we like it!!! The party was good fun, and the band were amazing.

Henley Qualifiers
For the fourth year running, stourport boat club entered the fawley cup at henley royal regatta.
The junior quad comprising of Matt Brighton, Nic Danby, Luke Barnett and Dan Brighton did well considering the small amount of time they had to train toghter in the run up to the trials.
Although the boys failed to qualify this year, everybody was pleased with their performance.
Of course the juniors still travelled in force to the regatta to see some of the best rowers in the world compete side by side. As stourport had no entries in the regatta we could go to henley without any stress, worries or nerves, and just sitting on the banks enjoying the sunshine, freebies and drink!
